Update - 25th March 2012 (Members' weekend)

Members' weekend, and a beautiful, hot weekend at that. May again had the tarpaulin off so visitors could see inside the engine compartment. Minimal work carried out, but cleaning some further rust and paint off the left-hand footplate to give a better final finish. With the tarps off, it's now very clear that the whole of the bonnet top will need replacing. Looks like the hardest part of doing that will be removing the handrails without damaging them. A bonus will be that we'll gain access to the tanks, the cab front, and subsequently much easier access inside the engine compartment as the entire bonnet cover will be relatively easy to unbolt.
Look - no tarpaulin! Air filters and fuel pump - r/h side
BUT the really big news of the weekend, is that after many enquiries, we've finally tracked down what we believe to be a suitable replacement clutch for "May". We've not seen it yet, but believe it will be ideal for us and hope to progress its purchase shortly. Watch this space!
